all I gotta say is,
DChang is the host with the most(est!!) what a lovely getaway, feeling very grown up but somehow still so familiar. it was good to see ya in your new Norfolk life. thanks so much for hosting us, for cooking for us, for taking us around, for generally opening our eyes to the life of DChangsta, postgrad. I hope we get to see you again soon! you are delightful, and the same — I like that we can reminisce about old times but talk about life in the now, just the same. ❤
first, he greeted us with choc chip banana bread. it was a good beginning.
picture mostly to show you David’s fancy kitchen and collection to the left to the left
and for din, he made us YANGNYUMCHICKEN. instant status as my fave korean ahjumma wannabe.
dinner chats 🙂
AND HOMEMADE SHIKHYE. words fail me.
“you’ve never had a mint julep?!” “ya I don’t like this…”
Norfolk by night
fancy coffee in the morning, uh course
some kinda triplets
@ the pier. or wharf. or some other seaside vocab word that works better here — I really dunno.
I lit-rully just realized that your tshirt says HURLEY, not TURKEY.
poke! DChang the Hawaiian, so ahead of that food curve. now every time I eat poke, I think of you.
just cause the windows seem so free
! med school friends over froyo
and inexplicably, there is a picture of you looking at baking supplies. seems out of place, but also feels so right. I hope you’re still baking (and cooking) up deliciousness in your Norfolk pad, my friend. you are the best non-ahjumma ahjumma I know. some lucky girl is in for a treat and a lifetime of wonderful cooking. may she have a healthy appetite and an adventurous palate! ~ sending other general good wishes not just pertaining to marriage your way ~
